Sustainability and collaboration
Sustainability – one word with many facets. And just as it is impossible to describe sustainability in one word, it is also impossible to tackle challenges connected to sustainability on your own. Therefore, it is very important to collaborate when it comes to challenging goals like becoming a “Plusenergilän”.
My internship focused on various Communication Packages
I completed my internship at Länsstyrelsen i Jönköpings län while collaborating with the Climate Council. My project was to develop a communication package for the Climate Week 2020. I have never worked with the Adobe Creative Cloud before, which is why the internship was a good opportunity for me to deal with programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. During the five weeks, I developed various posters, banners and pictures. When I presented the first draft of the communication package on the Council meeting, I received feedback which I used to develop the products. I also made a film and formulated Facebook- and Twitter texts. Besides, I created a communication package to emphasis the nomination process for the Climate Prize and finalized the communication package for the Solar Race. During my internship, I did not only get an insight into the Swedish business culture, I also gained more knowledge about collaborations. That is why I decided that the importance of the collaborations within the Climate Council should be highlighted in the communication package. Therefore, a pattern could be seen on the material. Each form represents a single organization that is individual but also part of something bigger – a collaboration with common goals. To underline that these goals can only be achieved together, you can find the following slogan on the material – Vi tillsammans!

After my internship
The collaborative work with the Climate Council showed me how complex it is to work on a common goal while being an individual organization at the same time. This insight is very valuable for me since I will write my master thesis in the field of sustainability communication and collaborations within the Climate Council, whereby I will recognize the perspective of Länsförsäkringar Jönköping. During my internship, I also gained an understanding of the many tasks that must be organized within the Climate Council. Here, I see a lot potential to contribute and gain even more experience. That is why I decided to volunteer for the Climate Council after my internship.
